Mild heatwave sweeps parts of country, may continue for next 5-day

DHAKA, March 27, 2025 (BSS) - Mild heatwave is sweeping over the regions of 
Rajshahi, Rangamati, Feni, Sitakunda, Jashore, Bagerhat and Patuakhali and it 
may continue.

A release of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) stated this here at 
about this noon. 

It forecasted the day and night temperature may rise slightly over the 
country.

The Met office said weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky 
over the country.

Besides, trough of low lies over the West Bengal and adjoining area and 
seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
 
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country for 
the next five days, the Met office predicted.

The BMD recorded country's maximum temperature 36.4 degrees Celsius on 
Wednesday at Jashore district under Khulna Division while today's minimum 
temperature 19.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Sitakunda upazila in 
Chattogram district.

The sun sets at 06:12pm today and rises at 05:55am tomorrow in the capital.
