Govt takes tight security during Eid in city

DHAKA, March 27, 2025 (BSS) - Nasimul Gani, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, today said the government has taken tight security for the city dwellers during the holidays of Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest religious festival of the Muslims. 

"Law enforcement agencies will remain highly alert during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to ensure safety. No unexpected incidents would occur during Eid holidays," he said.

The secretary made remarks while talking to journalists after meetings of Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) and Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs (ACCEA) held at the Cabinet Division conference room at Secretariat in the city. 

Nasimul Gani said that homegoers for Eid holidays would enjoy a hassle-free journey, while those staying back would remain safe.

The members of law enforcement agencies are coordinating with transport sector's stakeholders to manage the holiday rush efficiently. 

The official expressed the hope that everything would remain under control and prayed for divine blessings for a peaceful Eid.
