DHAKA, March 27, 2025 (BSS) -Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus today greeted the Muslim Ummah across the world, including the countrymen, on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Qadr or Lailatul Qadr to be observed tonight.

"Lailatul Qadr is a blessed and glorious night. On this night of the holy month of Ramadan, the Holy Quran, the guide of mankind, was bestowed on the world," he said in a message.

The Almighty Allah has declared in the holy Quran, 'Surely, We have revealed it (the Quran) on the night of Qadr', the Chief Adviser added quoting the holy Quran.

The Almighty Allah has declared that the night of Lailatul Qadr is better than thousand months, said Dr Yunus, adding that worship on this night is better than the worship of a thousand months.

"The infinite mercy and blessings of the Almighty Allah are showered on this night. Through worship and devotion on this holy night, we can gain closeness to the Almighty Allah. We can attain 'His' infinite mercy, blessings and forgiveness," he said.

He prayed to the Almighty Allah for granting all the ability to devote themselves to the work of human welfare and nation building by avoiding all kinds of injustice, lawlessness, violence and superstition on this glorious night.

"On this holy night, I pray to the Almighty Allah for forgiveness, continuous progress, peace, prosperity and welfare of our beloved motherland and the Muslim Ummah," he said.

"May the Almighty Allah help us. Ameen," said the Chief Adviser.
