BOGOTA, Nov 15, 2025 (AFP) - Colombia's military carried out a bombing near the Venezuelan border that killed nine guerrilla fighters, a defense ministry source told AFP on Friday.

The operation, which took place in Arauca province, was part of President Gustavo Petro's intensifying attacks against rebels involved in cocaine trafficking.

The Colombian military had this week carried out airstrikes in the Amazon region that killed 19 members of a dissident ex-FARC splinter group.
