Shilpakala Academy chalks out programmes to celebrate Pohela Boishakh

DHAKA, April 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the Bangla New Year 1432 across the country.

The programmes include band show, cultural events, drone show, chaitra sangkranti and boishakhi folk fairs, folk theatre festival and acrobatic performances.  

A programme titled ‘Band Show and Cultural Programme’ being organized in collaboration with the cultural ministry, will be held at Suhrawardy Udyan at 12pm on April 13.
 
On April 14, the Dhaka University’s Fine Arts faculty will host the traditional procession with a revised name ‘Borsho Boron Anondo Shobhajatra’, along with a ‘Drone Show’ and ‘Band Show’.

The festivities will continue on April 15 with a grand "Boishakhi Cultural Programme’, featuring a fusion of band performances, dance troupes, vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers, at the National Theatre Hall.

In addition to these central events, the academy will also organize various regional programmes. On April 12, ‘Chaitra Sangkranti and Boishakhi Folk Fairs’ will be held in 12 districts.
 
From April 13 to 19, thirty districts will witness a ‘Folk Theatre Festival’, while ‘Boishakhi Acrobatic Performances’ will be presented at 12 districts from April 19 to 30,
