It was mentioned that copies of the reports of the six commissions on the reform proposals from the National Consensus Commission were sent to the political parties on February 28 and 166 important recommendations from the final report of the commission were sent to the political parties and alliances for their opinions on March 5.
Of these, 70 recommendations were related to constitutional reform, 27 related to the electoral system, 23 related to the judiciary, 26 related to public administration and 20 recommendations of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
The recommendations of the Police Reform Commission were not included in the spreadsheet as they can be implemented through administrative decisions.

The commission's report stated that consensus has been reached with political parties on many issues, including the appointment of the Chief Justice, permanent attorney service, a bicameral legislature, balance of power between the president and the prime minister, 100 seats for women, and the restructuring of the existing Public Service Commission to form three public services with eight members.
The commission hoped that the political parties will be able to clear their final positions on the issues of disagreement in the second phase of discussions.
Professor Ali Riaz said that the commission wants to start the second phase of discussions in the first week of June and these discussions will be thematic.
He said that there will not be a consensus on all issues, but the commission will hold the second phase of discussions to establish a consensus on the fundamental issues where there are still differences of opinion.
