36th meeting of Interim Parliamentary Secretariat Commission held

DHAKA, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - The 36th meeting of the Interim Parliament Secretariat Commission was held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban today with National Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul in the chair.

Principal Secretary of the Chief Adviser Office M Siraj Uddin Mia, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr Md Mokhles Ur Rahman, Secretary of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Dr Hafiz Ahmed Chowdhury and Secretary of the Finance Division Dr Md Khairuzzaman Majumder, among others, were present at the meeting, said a press release here.

The meeting approved the proposed budget of Taka 154 crore 4 lakh 5 thousand in the operational expenditure and development sector in the revised budget of the Bangladesh National Parliament for the fiscal year 2024-2025 and Taka 232 crore in the operational and development sector for the fiscal year 2025-2026, Taka 243 crore 60 lakh in the fiscal year 2026-2027 and Taka 255 crore 78 lakh in the fiscal year 2027-2028.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minutes of the last 35th Parliament Secretariat Commission meeting were informed of and the implementation of the decisions taken and the progress report were discussed.

In addition, the progress of the ongoing projects of the Parliament Secretariat was discussed in the meeting.

Secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat Md. Mizanur Rahman presented the agenda of the meeting.
