DHAKA, May 27, 2028 (BSS) – Bangladesh Army in a special operation today arrested four criminals including ‘seven star’ syndicate kingpin Subrata Bain and his close accomplice Molla Masud and seized five foreign made pistols and ammunition. 

Subrata Bain alias Fateh Ali and his associate Molla Masud alias Abu Russell Masud were arrested from Kushtia district around 5am today based on specific intelligence information, Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) Directorate Director Lieutenant Colonel; Sami Ud Dowla Chowdhury disclosed this at a news briefing. 

Following information extracted from the arrestees, the army personnel later arrested two close aides of Subrata Bain, Shooter Arafat and Sharif from the capital’s Hatirjheel area, he said.

During the operations, they seized five foreign made pistols, 10 magazines, 53 rounds of ammunition and one satellite phone from their possessions, he also said. 

The arrestees were accused in numerous criminal cases that include murder, extortion and sabotage, he said, adding that Subrata Bain is the kingpin of ‘seven star gang’ and one of the top 23 wanted criminals. 
 
Chowdhury also called upon all to inform the nearby army camps and law enforcement agencies about any kind of criminal acts as Bangladesh Army is committed to ensure public security and uphold the law and order.
