DHAKA, May 27, 2025 (BSS) – Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen today said that Bangladesh-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership is now at its best in history.

He made the remarks while delivering remarks at the Summary Reception for 2025 Bangladeshi Diplomats Training Programme at the Chinese embassy on Monday evening, said an embassy’s press release here today.

Ambassador noted that through thematic seminars and field visits in Shanghai and Beijing, the young Bangladeshi diplomats gained in-depth understanding of Chinese modernization practices.

The young diplomats are not only inheritors of bilateral friendship but also promoters of future cooperation, he added.

The envoy hoped this training would serve as a new starting point to elevate bilateral relations to the new heights.

Bangladesh foreign ministry’s secretary (East) Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, participating young diplomats, and representatives from the embassy were present.

Islam thanked China for the well-arranged programme, saying it provided first-hand experience for Bangladeshi diplomats to observe China’s development.

He said, Bangladesh stands ready to work with China to deepen cooperation across the board, taking the opportunities of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the “China-Bangladesh Year of People-to-People Exchanges”.

During the session, young diplomats shared their observations from China, spoke highly of China’s development achievements, and pledged to actively engage in the cause of China-Bangladesh friendship, said the release.
