BAGERHAT, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - Police in a drive arrested an alleged drug 
peddler with 20,300 pieces of Yaba tablets from Katakhali Bus Stand area 
under Fakirhat upazila of the district last night.

The arrested was Kalam Hossain, 25, son of Abdul Gafur, a resident of Nathuar 
Danga of Nathua Police Station in Satkhira district.

On a tip-off, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted a drive 
in the area and arrested Kamal with the contraband yaba tablets worth Taka 
over 1.1 crore from a passenger bus which was going to Satkhira, said Md. 
Touhidul Arif, Bagerhat Superintendent of Police (SP), at a press briefing on 
Sunday afternoon.

A case was filed in this connection.
