DHAKA, Aug 4, 2025 (BSS) - A pre-election observer team of the European Union (EU) will arrive here in mid-September to review the preparations of the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad polls.

Senior Secretary to the Election Commission Secretariat Akhter Ahmed today disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the election commission office in the city’s Agargaon area. 

Giving details, he said the EU seven member pre-election observer team will be comprised of three foreigners and four local observers.

He said that the commission has received the information from the ministry of foreign affairs today. 

The team will oversee the preparations and overall situation for holding the elections in the country, he said.
