Palestinian envoy meets Education Adviser

DHAKA, August 4, 2025 (BSS) – Palestine Ambassador Yousef S Y Ramadan today paid a courtesy call on Education Adviser Professor Dr Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar at latter’s office in Secretariat. 

During the meeting, the adviser expressed agreement with the envoy on advancing the education systems of both Bangladesh and Palestine through mutual cooperation.

A very cordial discussion took place between them regarding the education systems of both countries, said a press release.

The Palestinian Ambassador expressed gratitude to the adviser for Bangladesh’s initiative in offering scholarships to Palestinian students, enabling them to pursue education in various institutions across Bangladesh.

He highlighted Palestine’s deep appreciation for Bangladesh’s contribution to the development of education in Palestine. In recognition of this support, the incumbent Palestinian Minister for Education has expressed interest in visiting Bangladesh.

The Ambassador also praised Bangladesh’s role in the ongoing crisis in Gaza and expressed gratitude. 

He mentioned that 41 doctors trained in Bangladesh are currently providing medical services to the injured in Gaza, and the people of Palestine are thankful to Bangladesh for this support.

He remarked that Palestine will remember Bangladesh’s contribution. Once Palestine is liberated, they will try to reciprocate by offering Bangladeshi students the opportunity to study in Palestine, thereby repaying this debt of gratitude, he added.
