KHULNA, Aug 4, 2025 (BSS) - The government has appointed Professor Dr Md Ruhul Amin, Dean of the Faculty of Surgery at Bangladesh Medical University, to the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna Medical University (KMU) for a four-year term.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued the appointment notification on Monday (August 4), signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Sanjeeb Das.

According to the notification, the appointment will be effective from the date of joining.

The appointment may be canceled by the President and Chancellor at any time if necessary.

Since May 2 this year, Khulna Medical University has been functioning without a VC, which severely affected operations.
