DHAKA, Aug 20, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur & Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
Day and night temperature may fall by 1-2 degree Celsius over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Tuesday recorded 35.2 degree Celsius in Nikli of Kishoreganj, while today's minimum temperature was 24.4 degree Celsius in Nikli.

The sun sets at 6:29 pm today and rises at 5:35 am tomorrow in the capital.
