DMP files 1696 cases against traffic rule violations

DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) - As part of the ongoing campaign to bring traffic system under control, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1696 cases against vehicles, owners and its drivers for violating traffic rules.

Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said that the DMP traffic division conducted campaign against traffic rule breakers during the last three day and filed cases.

He said the DMP traffic police dumped 255 motor vehicles and towed 56 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations from September 13.

According the press release, these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
