DHAKA, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS) - The ACC today submitted charge sheet against 10 people for misappropriation of Taka 3.32 crore from a project for the construction of a Filaria Hospital in Dhaka’s Savar area.

Deputy Assistant Director of the Dhaka Integrated District Office-1 of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Mahmuda Akhter after the investigation into the case submitted the charge sheet to the court.

Deputy Director of the office Md Rashedul Hassan on April 22 last year filed the case against the accused persons.

The prominent accused of the case are contractor and proprietor of Rakab Trade Corporation Habibur Rahman and Nasima Begum, project directors of the ‘Establishment of a 50-bed Filaria Hospital at Savar ANM Rokon Uddin and Md Harun-or-Rashid and former executive director of the IACIB Anwarul Haque.      

According to the ACC investigation, the accused persons in collaboration with each other obtained a work order for the construction of the hospital by submitting fake trade license, bank solvency certificates, pay order and experience certificates through cheating and forgery.

They, later without fulfilling the terms and conditions of tender and without handing over the building, misappropriated Taka 2,81,20,024. They also withdrew a bill of Taka 50,95,785 without supplying four related items approved for the hospital building.
