Four dengue patients die, 1,101 fresh dengue cases detected overnight

DHAKA, Nov 04, 2025 (BSS) - Health officials today said they recorded 1,101 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts, killing at least four persons in the past 24 hours.

"During the period, (of the 1,101) 151 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 125 in Chattogram division, 208 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 175 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 241 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 59 in Khulna division, 75 in Mymensingh division, 45 in Rajshahi division, 19 in Rangpur division and three in Sylhet division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 292 deaths while the disease inflicted 73,923.

The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
