Govt introduces integrated makeup course for BCS (Livestock) cadre

DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS)- Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has introduced Integrated Makeup Course Curriculum for the BCS Livestock officers at entry point and for the incumbent officials in this cadre holding Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Animal Husbandry (AH) degrees.

In this regard the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has issued a notification on the integrated makeup course today.

The notification said all entry-level posts of the BCS (Livestock) cadre will be filled up by integrated degree holders in the BSc in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. 

To enhance modern, scientific and relevant knowledge and skills in field-level livestock production, animal health and extension, a six-month integrated in-service training (makeup) course of 30-credits will be introduced for officers of the BCS (Livestock) cadre holding DVM and AH degrees.

The officers completing the in-service training (makeup) course will be eligible for registration with the Bangladesh Veterinary Council, the notification said.
