JUST, BdREN sign MoU to advance tech-based education

JASHORE, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS)- Jashore University of Science and Technology 
(JUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today with the Bangladesh 
Research and Education Network (BdREN) to enhance technological knowledge and 
training for its students.

The MoU was formally signed between the university's Computer Science and 
Engineering (CSE) Department and BdREN at a ceremony held at the conference 
room of the JUST administrative building.

JUST Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Hossain Al Mamun and BdREN Chief Executive 
Officer (CEO) Mohammad Taurit signed the agreement on behalf of their 
respective organisations in presence of JUST Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr. 
Md. Abdul Majid.

Chairman of the CSE Department Dr. Md. Kamrul Islam, along with other 
teachers of the university and officials from BdREN, was present in the 
ceremony.
 
The agreement will provide the CSE students with an opportunity to directly 
connect with BdREN and gain advanced technological knowledge and training. 

In addition, students will be able to enhance their skills and knowledge by 
gaining comprehensive insights into networking and getting familiar with new 
technologies, according to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of JUST Md. 
Mahmudul Hossain.

BdREN will facilitate the use of modern laboratories for the CSE students, 
provide hands-on training on new and improved technologies, conduct workshops 
on contemporary technology, and offer internship opportunities, ensuring up-
to-date training.
