BNP candidate Dr. Mosharraf wins from Cumilla-1

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has been elected unofficially from Cumilla-1 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 1,41,440 votes while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Moniruzzaman received 94,885 votes.

In the referendum, 1,71,139 voters cast 'Yes' votes while 1,55,556 others cast 'No' votes in this constituency.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
