RAJSHAHI, Feb 23, 2026 (BSS)- Barind Multipurpose Development Authority 
(BMDA) has installed a deep tube well at the agricultural project of 
University of Rajshahi (RU).

Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Saleh Hasan Naqib inaugurated the tube well 
this morning at the Budhpara field of the RU Agricultural Project.
 
Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Mohammad Main Uddin, Pro-VC (Academic) Prof 
Farid Uddin Khan and members of the Agricultural Project Advisory Committee 
were present, among others.
 
After the inauguration, the VC remarked that the operation of this tube well 
would enable irrigation facilities for the university's agricultural project 
land, which would have a positive impact on crop productivity.
 
With the installation of this deep tube well, nearly 100 acres of land have 
come under irrigation coverage.
 
The tube well has been installed through a partnership between the University 
of Rajshahi and the Barind Multipurpose Development Authority.
