Telecom minister asks officials to ensure visible progress of Teletalk

DHAKA, Feb 24, 2026 (BSS) - Posts, Telecommunications and Information 
Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam, MP, today instructed the top officials 
of state-owned mobile phone operator Teletalk to ensure visible progress in a 
short time, saying they want to implement the Prime Minister's vision and 
plans.

Addressing the officials, he said people should receive improved services 
from Teletalk during the tenure of the present government.

Faqir Mahbub Anam, also the minister of the ministry of science and 
technology, gave the directives at an exchange of views meeting held at the 
Teletalk office in the capital's Gulshan, said a ministry press release.

Adviser Rehan Asif Asad was present at the time.

The minister said, "We want to become a people-friendly government by quickly 
implementing the Prime Minister's commitments. We want visible improvement in 
Teletalk services." 

He also said that as the Prime Minister is working to implement his plans and 
vision for public welfare, Teletalk must also work accordingly to improve the 
quality of its services.

Rehan Asif Asad said all concerned must work in unity to implement the Prime 
Minister's commitments in the shortest possible time, adding that the 
ministry would provide all-out support in this regard.

During the meeting, they reviewed various issues relating to the 
organisation's ongoing service activities, network expansion, development of 
digital services and improvement of customer service quality.

Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Abdun Naser Khan, Teletalk 
Managing Director Nurul Mabud Chowdhury and other senior officials were 
present at the meeting.
