12 ministries get new secretaries

DHAKA, Mar 26, 2026 (BSS)- The government has appointed new secretaries in 12 ministries and divisions.

Ministry of Public Administration has issued necessary gazette notifications yesterday today in this regard.

Additional Secretary Yasmin Parveen of the National Defence College has been appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. 
Zakaria, Chairman of the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority and an Additional Secretary, has been made Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division.

Additional Secretary Moha Raihan Kausar of the Ministry of Land has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Barrister Md. Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, Director General of the Wage Earners’ Welfare Board, has been made Secretary of the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat.

Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md. Mokhter Ahmed has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment. 

Additional Secretary Fahmida Akhter of the Ministry of Labour and Employment has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

Secretary of the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Kaniz Mowla has been appointed as the Secretary of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED).
 
Additional Secretary Md. Delwar Hossain of the Ministry of Home Affairs has been made Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.

Senior Secretary (contractual) of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Dr. Md. Neyamat Ullah Bhuiyan has been appointed as the Member (Senior Secretary) of the Planning Commission on a contractual basis.
 
Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Nasrin Jahan has also been appointed as the Member (Secretary) of the Planning Commission.

Additional Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain of the Local Government Division has been transferred and posted as the Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division.

S M Ebadur Rahman has been appointed as the Secretary of the Economic Relations Division on contractual basis for a year from the day of joining.
