1,177 new suspected measles cases, no death report in 24 hours

DHAKA, April 10, 2026 (BSS)- A total of 1,177 fresh suspected measles cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours till 8am today but no patient with measles died during the period. 

Besides, 168 more confirmed cases have been reported during the last 24-hours, said a press release of control centre of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.

With fresh 1177 suspected cases, the total number of patients reached 8910 and among the suspected patients 6609 people left hospital after being cured, said the release.   

Since March 15 last a total of 144 people died of suspected measles.
