Students to get admission assistance of Tk 6,000 in class XI, application starts on Apr 12

DHAKA, April 10, 2026 (BSS) - The government will provide a one-time 
admission assistance of Taka 6,000 to financially insolvent and meritorious 
students admitted to higher secondary and equivalent levels (XI and Alim 1st 
year) in the 2025-26 academic year.

Students can apply for this assistance through the Prime Minister's Education 
Assistance Trust from 9 am on April 12.

The Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust has issued a notification to 
this end.

The notification said students admitted to Class XI and Alim 1st year in all 
government and private educational institutions of the country under the 
Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Directorate of Technical 
Education and Directorate of Madrasa Education will be considered eligible 
for this assistance.

The online application process (https://www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/admission) 
will be open until 11:59 pm on April 30, 2026.

The notification regarding the eligibility and conditions of the application 
states that to get admission assistance, the student must have a minimum of 
60 percent marks in the previous class or GPA 3.50 out of GPA 5.

It states that the annual income of the guardian must be less than Taka 3 
lakh. In addition, orphans, disabled, children of freedom fighters and 
children of 20th grade government employees will have to upload the necessary 
evidence in the application.

The application must be accompanied by a clear copy of the local public 
representative's 'Hatadaridra' certificate, certificate of the head of the 
institution, birth registration, NID of the parents and online bank account 
information.

Since the entire process is online-based, there is no need to send any hard 
copy of the application directly to the trust. 

After applying with the necessary documents, a high-level committee will 
scrutinise it. After that, Taka 6,000 will be sent directly to the online 
bank account of the student or guardian in favour of the finally selected 
students.


The notification mentioned that for any information regarding assistance, the 
helpline numbers (01778958356, 01778964156) can be contacted during office 
hours.
