RAJSHAHI, April 11, 2026 (BSS) - The 5th biennial conference of the Rajshahi University (RU) Economics Department Alumni Association was held today with participation from hundreds of former students.
The day-long event was inaugurated at the Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium by Vice-Chancellor Faridul Islam.
Professor M Rafiqul Islam, convener of the organizing committee, presided over the event. Former teacher of the department and noted economist Mustafa K Mujeri attended as the chief guest.
Special guests included Professor Ismail Hossain, former Pro-Vice Chancellor of North South University, along with Rajshahi University Pro-Vice Chancellors Professor Mohammad Main Uddin and Professor Farid Uddin Khan.
Around 900 alumni took part in the function.
