NU, UNICEF launch joint study on future readiness of higher education

DHAKA, April 29, 2026 (BSS) - The National University (NU) and UNICEF have
launched a joint research initiative to assess the current state of
Bangladesh's higher education system and its readiness to meet future labor
market challenges.

The information was disclosed today in a press release issued by the NU
College Monitoring and Evaluation Department.

The research titled "Feasibility Study to Assess the Future Readiness and
Responsiveness of Bangladesh's Higher Education System" is being conducted by
Consiglieri Private Limited (CPL).

The primary objective of the study is to analyze students' skills,
entrepreneurial capacity, and the alignment of education with labor market
demands.
 
The findings are expected to provide effective guidance for future
policymaking and action plans.

As part of the study, colleges and educational institutions affiliated with
the National University have been selected as key stakeholders.

Information will be collected from principals and relevant authorities
regarding higher education, skill development, curricula, and institutional
capacity.

Md. Sahab Uddin Ahammed, Acting Director of the university, has requested all
concerned educational institutions to provide necessary information and
extend full cooperation to the CPL research team.
