IU 'D' unit admission process begins on May 10

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, May 1, 2026 (BSS) - Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia has released an admission notice and guidelines for first-year undergraduate enrollment under the independent 'D' Unit for the 2025-26 academic session.

The notice was signed by 'D' Unit Coordinator and Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies Prof Dr Sekendar Ali and made public on Friday.

Previously, the admission test under the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies was conducted on April 11.

The unit offers a total of 330 seats. Among these, 80 seats each have been assigned to the departments of Al-Qur'an and Islamic Studies, Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies, and Dawah and Islamic Studies, while the Department of Arabic Language and Literature has been allocated 90 seats.

As per the notice, interviews for candidates listed in the first merit list, which was published on April 12, 2026, will take place from May 10 to May 12.

The interviews will be conducted at the 'D' Unit coordinator's office between 10:00am and 3:00pm on the specified dates.

Candidates who clear the interview must complete the admission process within the given timeframe. The notice also added failing to complete this process will result in the cancellation of their nominations.

Students wishing to change their department after the first merit list may submit applications from May 14 to May 15.

Depending on seat availability, interviews for second merit list candidates will be conducted from May 22 to May 23. Those selected will likewise be required to complete admission formalities within the stipulated period.

The university authorities noted that any updates or further instructions regarding the admission process will be published on the university's official website.
