Govt to increase budgetary allocation in education: Milon

CHANDPUR, May 1, 2026 (BSS) - Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon today said the government will increase the budget in the education sector in the next fiscal to improve the quality of education. 

He made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at the final match and prize distribution ceremony of the Upazila-level Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament (Boys & Girls) 2026 held at Kachua Government Pilot High School ground.

Milon said the government is working to ensure that studies become enjoyable for all students in the country.

Alongside academics, steps are being taken so that students can also excel in sports, he said. 

The minister said the government continues to work to develop the country’s students into competent citizens in the future.

Kachua Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahmudul Hasan Russell chaired the event while BNP Central Executive Committee member and Vice President of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal Nazmun Nahar Baby attended it as the special guest.
