Bangladesh, Australia reaffirm commitment to strengthening bilateral ties

DHAKA, July 2, 2026 (BSS)-Bangladesh and Australia today reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening longstanding bilateral relations. 

The commitment was made when Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle met Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman at the foreign ministry here, said a ministry's press release here. 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of bilateral issues of mutual interest and reviewed avenues for enhancing cooperation between the 
two friendly countries.

They also reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Australia.

The meeting reflected the continued engagement between Dhaka and Canberra to deepen cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
