Pakistan govt higher education scholarship test held at BRUR

RANGPUR, July 9, 2026 (BSS) - The Pakistan Government Higher Education 
Scholarship Eligibility Assessment Test was held at Begum Rokeya University, 
Rangpur (BRUR) in a fair and peaceful environment today.
 
The test was arranged to assess the eligibility of Bangladeshi students 
applying for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate levels in various 
universities under the Pakistan Government Higher Education Scholarship. 
 
The BRUR authorities organized the test as one of the six regional test 
centers designated nationwide, a press release said here this evening. 
 
A total of 140 undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship aspirant students 
from Rangpur region participated in the test held at the university's 
Academic Building-3 from 12 noon to 2 pm. 
 
Full tuition fees, accommodation, allowances and other educational assistance 
will be provided to international students at undergraduate, postgraduate and 
PhD levels in various renowned universities in Pakistan under this 
scholarship. 
 
Director of the Center for BRUR Digital Transformation Professor Dr Md 
Mizanur Rahman, Programme Director of the Higher Education Commission of 
Pakistan Rao Muhammad Azhar, Pakistan High Commission Cultural Secretary Anil 
Asghar Kalhoro and Protocol Assistant Muhammad Anwar visited the test center.
 
Later, the visiting Pakistani guests appreciated the fair and peaceful 
organization of the examination. 
 
They mentioned this scholarship programme as an important opportunity for 
Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education of international standard and 
expressed gratitude for the overall cooperation of the BRUR administration in 
successfully completing the test.
