Sakhawat for upholding real history of independence before students

NARSHINGDI, July 18, 2026 (BSS) - Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain today stressed the need of upholding the real history of the independence before the students as they can know the real truth of the liberation war.

The minister made this remark while addressing a merit scholarship and reception programme at the playground adjacent of Gangkulkandi Bhuiyan Bazar under Monohardi upazila here.

Nabo Diganta Club organized the function.

Conspiracy is continuing against Bangladesh, so, the real history of the independence must be upheld before the young students as they can access into the real history of the liberation war, said the minister.

Highlighting the government policy and development programme, the health minister said the present government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is going ahead with the policy 'Bangladesh first'.

Various effective programmes have already been taken for the development of education, health and agriculture sector and the people are already getting the benefit of the programme, he noted.

With Nabo Diganta Club Chairman Professor Mostak Ahmed Bhuiyan in the chair, the programme also was attended, among others, by Monohardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) MA Muhaimeen Al Zihan and Monohardi upazila BNP member secretary Aminur Rahman Sarker Dolon.

The minister distributed scholarship crest and cash money among 40 meritorious students at the function.
