DHAKA, Sept 8, 2026 (BSS) - Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Whip M Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu today said BNP has become increasingly popular, defying numerous adversities and thwarting repeated attempts to suppress the party over time.

"BNP's all leaders and workers remain always committed to protecting the party from any kind of conspiracy so that no evil force can harm it," he told a discussion at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here. 

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sangskritik Dal organized the event marking the BNP's 48th founding anniversary under the theme "The Contribution of Shaheed Zia to Building a Self-Reliant Bangladesh."

Noting that BNP had won every time a free and fair election held in the country, Dulu hoped the party would be able to meet the people's expectations and implement its electoral commitment.

Condemning the incidents of enforced disappearances, killings, imprisonment, persecution and repression of dissidents during the fascist rule of Sheikh Hasina, the JS whip said Sheikh Hasina must be brought to justice for her criminal offences.

BNP executive committee members Babul Ahmed and Kazi Rafique also spoke at the programme, with Jatiyatabadi Sangskritik Dal President Humayun Kabir Bepari in the chair.
