RU holds meeting to address session backlog

RAJSHAHI, April 12, 2026 (BSS) - A meeting was held this afternoon at the Senate Building of Rajshahi University (RU) to address the ongoing session backlog.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Md. Faridul Islam chaired the meeting, attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Mohammad Main Uddin, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Farid Uddin Khan, Treasurer Prof Matiar Rahman and Registrar Prof Iftikharul Alam Masud, among others.

Faculty deans, departmental chairpersons and senior academic and administrative officials discussed the progress of academic and research activities, existing challenges and necessary measures to resolve them.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor stressed the importance of starting classes on time, preparing the academic calendar promptly and ensuring that classes, examinations and result publications follow the schedule. 

He urged all concerned to take coordinated steps to implement these measures.

He also appreciated departments without session backlog and directed those facing backlog issues to prepare time-bound action plans to eliminate it and report to the university authorities.
