Doa Mahfil held in London for recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, Jan 22, 2025 (BSS) - A doa mahfil was held in London, praying for the speedy recovery and long life of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The doa mahfil was taken place on Tuesday at 8pm (London time) at a hall in East London. 

With UK BNP Vice President Md Tajul Islam in the chair, the doa mahfil was conducted by  Manjur Ahmed Shahnaz. Chairperson's advisor Dr Enamul Haque Chowdhury was present as the chief guest.

Senior member of the UK BNP Emdad Hossain Tipu, leader of Bangladesh community in London KM Abu Taher Chowdhury, former deputy mayor of Tower Hamlets Councillor Ahid Ahmed, Atiq Chowdhury Pappu Ferdous Alam, Shamsur Rahman Mahtab, former Chhatra Dal leaders and journalists Jahangir Hossain and Amir Hossain, among others, also spoke. 

The program was conducted by Saleh Gaznavi and Surma Khan.
