Special medical care started for injured at Tarique Rahman's directive

DHAKA, Jan 23, 2025 (BSS) - With the directive of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, special measures have started in various hospitals for the treatment of the injured in the student-people mass uprising. 

On behalf of Tarique Rahman, Dr Erfanul Haque Siddiqui, Member Secretary of the Bangladesh Orthopedic Society and Vice President of Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), inquired about the treatment of Nannu Matin of Bogra Sadar Upazila.

Nannu Matin received injury in police firing on August 4, having over a hundred of bullets in his body. He still has around fifty rubber bullets in his body and has serious problems in his spinal cord. Nannu has been admitted to the hospital again for treatment.

Member secretary of Amra BNP Paribar agriculturalist Moksedul Momin Mithun, Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital Deputy Director Nandalal Saha, Dr MR Hasan, Dr Anika, agriculturalist Ninad, Chhatra Dal leader Dr Fahim, among others, were present.
