BNP fought against fascism for 17 yrs to restore democracy: Dudu

THAKURGAON, Jan 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said BNP had fought against fascism for the last 17 years to restore democracy and freedom as well as the human rights in the country.

“We want to bring Bangladesh back to the democratic path. We want to bring back human rights. BNP is holding meeting across the country as part of its fight for establishing democracy and human rights," said Dudu while talking to reporters at the Shilpakala Academy before attending an organizational meeting of the district BNP this morning.

He said any coalition of anti-independence forces and fascist allies would not strengthen democracy without people’s support.

Later, Dudu joined the meeting of the district unit BNP, which was attended, among others, by organizing secretary of BNP's Rangpur division unit Principal Asadul Habib Dulu, joint organizing secretaries Abdul Khalek, Aminul Islam, members of the central BNP and general secretary of Thakurgaon district BNP Mirza Faisal Amin.
