DHAKA, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed travel ban on health adviser Nurjahan Begum’s personal officers (POs) Mohammad Tuhin Farabi and Mahmudul Hassan respectively.

The court also instructed the authorities concerned to block the National Identity (NID) cards of both the personal officers for the sake of investigation.

Senior Special Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order following a petition submitted by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).

Deputy Director (DD) Public Relations of the ACC headquarters Akterul Alam quoting the petition said that an allegation of acquiring hundred crore money by misusing power, negotiations, extortion, tender business and corruptions against Tuhin Farabi are in progress. The ACC during its inquiry found huge moveable and immoveable properties against the name of Tuhin Farabi and Mahmudul Hassan. Both the officials have been trying to transfer their illegally acquired assets and money and making attempts to flee away from the country, the ACC sources said.

As such, the ACC applied to the court for imposing travel ban on them and block their National Identities.

Tuhin Farabi was removed from the position of the PO of the health adviser following many allegations of corruption against him on April 21.
