DHAKA, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed travel ban on Gazi Salahuddin Tanvir, who was relieved from the post of joint member secretary of National Citizen Party (NCP), as an investigation is going on against him on graft charges.

The court also instructed the authorities concerned to block his National Identity (NID) for the sake of investigation.

Senior Special Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the orders following two separate petitions submitted by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ACC officials came to know that the accused may leave the country to avoid investigation against him so that a travel ban should be imposed on him and his NID should be blocked immediately.
