ACC sues former forest conservator Mosharraf

DHAKA, May 29, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against former Conservator of Forest and Managing Director of Meghna Real Estate Ltd, Mosharraf Hossain, on charges of acquiring illegal assets.

ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akhter Hossain said in a briefing that the agency's Deputy Director M Hafizul Islam filed the case today.

According to the case details, Mosharraf Hossain committed crimes involving money laundering and acquired illegal assets worth Tk. 4.22 crore, which is beyond his known sources of income.

The anti-graft body, during its investigation, found immovable assets amounting to Tk. 1.86 crore and movable wealth worth Tk. 3.25 crore belonging to Mosharraf.

The case details said Mosharraf retired on June 28, 2005, and later established the real estate company Meghna Real Estate Ltd.
