DHAKA, May 30, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Sammilito Peshajibi Parishad paid homage to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman today, marking his 44th martyrdom anniversary by placing floral wreaths and offering prayers at his mausoleum in the capital this morning.

Led by the forum's Convener, Prof Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain and Member Secretary Kader Gani Chowdhury, a procession of professionals marched to the mausoleum where they laid wreaths and participated in a munajat (prayer) seeking eternal peace for the Shaheed president.

Among those present were Prof Dr. Shamsul Alam Selim, Prof Dr. Nurul Islam, noted cultural figure Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Uzzal, Prof Dr. Abu Zafar, Prof Dr. Anisuzzaman, Engineer Alamgir Hasin Ahmed, Krishibid Dr. Shafiqul Islam and Engineer Mohammad Hanif.

Leaders from various professional associations including Jatiyabadi Textile Engineer Association Convener Engineer Fakhrul Alam and Member Secretary Engineer ABM Ruhul Amin Akand; Diploma Engineers Association of Bangladesh (DEAB) General Secretary Engineer Shakawat Hossen; Bangladesh M TAB President AKM Musa and General Secretary Dabir Uddin Tushar; Unani Ayurvedic Graduate Doctors Association of Bangladesh (AGDAB) President Dr. Mirza Lutfar Rahman Liton and Secretary Dr. Aminul Bari Kanan; Diploma Agriculturist Association of Bangladesh (D-AAB) President M. Ziaul Haider Polash and Secretary Syed Zahid Hossen and Physiotherapist Association of Bangladesh (PAB) President M. Quamruzzaman Kallol and Secretary M. Tanvirul Alam, also joined the tribute.

Following their tribute, several other professional groups also placed floral wreaths at the mausoleum to honor the memory and contributions of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.
