Dr. Zubaida Rahman gives advice on heart disease prevention in Bogura

BOGURA, May 30, 2025 (BSS) - Dr. Zubaida Rahman, Vice-President of Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) and wife of BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, today gave advice on heart disease prevention in a "Free Medical Camp" at the Ziaur Rahman Shishu Hospital in the district. 

The medical camp was organized to mark the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. The day-long programme commenced with the inauguration of the free medical camp by Bogura District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha.

Dr. Zubaida Rahman, a renowned cardiologist, sent a written statement focusing on heart health for the event. Assistant Professor of the Cardiology Department at Bangladesh Medical University (PG Hospital) Dr. A. N. M. Monowarul Qadir Bitu read the written statement of Zubaida Rahman at the medical camp in Bogura. 

In her statement, Dr. Zubaida Rahman emphasized the importance of heart disease awareness for good health. She said, preventive measures for heart disease can significantly reduce the risk of developing this fatal disease. These preventive measures are also applicable to individuals already affected by heart disease to minimize the risk of recurrence, she added.

Helpful booklets on heart disease prevention were distributed to attendees.
During the event, other speakers asserted that President Ziaur Rahman's assassination was a premeditated act. They stated that President Ziaur Rahman had established himself as an undisputed leader in national life. 

Following the discussion, free medical treatment and medicines were distributed among the underprivileged. A special prayer session (Doa Mahfil) was also held and high-quality meals were served to orphans.
