CHATTOGRAM, May 30, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman was a world-class reformer, politician and philosopher. 

“Ziaur Rahman was a leader with unparallel personality. When you consider everything together, you will see that there were only a few people of this quality in the world. There is no need to compare Ziaur Rahman with anyone in Bangladesh,” Khasru said.

Amir Khasru made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on the 44th death anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman at the city’s LGED auditorium this evening.

Chattogram city BNP organized the discussion meeting where senior party leaders discussed the works and life of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.
 
“Ziaur Rahman was the first to declare the independence of a country. He had been able to declare the independence of a country because he had such courage and farsightedness,” he added.

City BNP convener Ershad Ullah presided over the function while Pabna Science and Technology University Vice Chancellor Dr. SM Abdul Awal and Central BNP Organizing Secretary Mahbuber Rahman Shamim addressed the function as special guests.
