DMP files 1,644 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, May 31, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 1,644 cases over two days across the capital for traffic rule violations.

This information was confirmed in a press release today signed by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the DMP. 

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed these cases and realized fines during regular drives against traffic rule violators from May 29 to 30.

During the drive, a total of 104 vehicles were impounded and 104 others towed. 

The DMP information further said the drive will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.
