Project based evaluation emphasized for implementation of budget

DHAKA, May 31, 2025 (BSS) - Speakers at a pre-budget seminar today emphasized on ministry and project based monitoring and evaluation for the implementation of the national budget.

The speakers expressed this view while addressing the seminar on ‘Ways of reforms of 2025-2026 budget’ at Dr Abdullah Faruk Auditorium of the Business Studies faculty of the Dhaka University.

Business Research Bureau of the faculty organized the seminar where DU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Saima Haque Bidisha was present as chief guest. Dean of the Business Studies Faculty Prof Dr Mahmud Osman Imam was present as special guest.

Chaired by the Director of the bureau Prof Dr Md ABM Shahidul Islam, the seminar was addressed, among others by a number of eminent economists, young researchers and students.

Prof Dr Saima Haque Bidisha while addressing as chief guest urged all concerned not to cut budget from some important sectors like education, health and research.

The speakers urged to increase budget for education, health, technical education, employment based training and youth sectors for the development of the human resources. 

They also emphasized on the participation of youth community for ensuring accountability in the financial sector and transparency in budget formulation.
