In its judgment, the Supreme Court stated that the Election Commission (EC) should take necessary actions concerning Jamaat-e-Islami’s "pending registration" and other related matters.

Furthermore, the court approved Jamaat’s application for withdraw its separate petition regarding the party’s election symbol, and thus provided no specific order on that issue.

Following the verdict, Towhidul Islam told reporters that the matter of the electoral symbol was not part of this case. So, the court did not issue any directive regarding the Jamaat’s election symbol.
