BGB opens 'Chutipur BOP' at Satkhira border to enhance operational capacity

    DHAKA, Jan 1, 2025 (BSS) - A border outpost (BOP) has been inaugurated in the Chutipur area of Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira to enhance the operational capacity of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

     According to a BGB press release, the BOP was inaugurated at the border under the responsibility of Nildumur Battalion (17 BGB) to ensure flawless border security and check smuggling and other cross-border crimes.

     BGB Jashore Region Commander Brigadier General Md Humayun Kabir was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the newly constructed 'Chutipur BOP'.

     After the inauguration of the BOP, the chief guest inspected the free medical campaign and food assistance programme conducted by the BGB for local indigent patients and the food assistance programme among the distressed and helpless people at the Chutipur BOP and exchanged views with the journalists present. 

     Several high officials of the BGB were present.
