BMU holds doa mahfil marking martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman

DHAKA, June 01, 2025 (BSS) – A doa mahfil and discussion meeting was held at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) to commemorate the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

Jatiyatabadi teachers, physicians, officers, nurses and employees oikya parishad organized the doa mahfil and discussion meeting.

Immediate past president of Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Professor Dr Harun Al Rashid, BNP’s assistant health affairs secretary Dr Pervez Reza Kakon, immediate past senior joint secretary of DAB Dr Mehedy Hasan, BMU’s pro Vice-Chancellor (research and development)  Professor Dr M Mujibur Rahman Hawlader, BMU director and  immediate past president of DAB Dr Erfanul Haque Siddiqi, BMU proctor and immediate past secretary of DAB Dr Sheikh Farhad, additional director of super specialized hospital and immediate past joint secretary of DAB Dr M Shahidul Hasan Babul, BMU dean Professor Dr M Shamim Ahmed, Dean Professor Dr M Atiar Rahman, BMU additional registrar Dr M Delwar Hossain Tito, among others, spoke on the occasion.

The speakers urged all to remain alert about any sort of conspiracy centering the national elections.

Later, special prayers were offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and his son Arafat Rahman Koko. 

The leaders of DAB and officers and employees of BMU also wished long life and good health of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
