Meta, CTTC hold meeting on business communication

DHAKA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) - A meeting was held between Meta Platforms, Inc. and Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) on business 
communication at the CTTC conference room of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Minto Road in the capital. 

At the exchange of views, Md. Masud Karim, Additional Commissioner of Police, CTTC, said that this exchange of views is an important milestone in controlling social media crimes. 

He also expressed his strong hope that this will enhance the investigative capacity of the investigating officers in investigating crimes related to social media.

Deputy Commissioner of City Cyber Crime Investigation Department Md. 
Shahjahan Hossain moderated the meeting. 

Senior officials of DMP's CTTC, DB and IAD and officials of various levels attended the meeting. 

Various problems and challenges in obtaining business records were mentioned by the police officers participating in the meeting. In addition, Facebook Business Records, Content Takedown Policy and Facebook Community Guidelines were also discussed in detail. 

On behalf of Meta Platforms, Inc., an American multinational technology 
company headquartered in Menlo Park, Krishna Mahajan Chowdhury, Law 
Enforcement Outreach Officer for Bangladesh and India, participated in the discussion.
