Traffic Safety Education Center inaugurated in Dhaka

DHAKA, June 25, 2025 (BSS) – The "Traffic Safety Education Center (TSEC)" was inaugurated in the capital today at the joint initiative of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and JICA. 

Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md. Sarwar inaugurated the TSEC as the chief guest at the DMP Training Academy in Rajarbagh in the capital, said a police press release.

The main objective of the Traffic Safety Education Center (TSEC) is to increase awareness about traffic safety among students and the public through training programs and simulations. 

Speaking at the function, Md. Sarwar said, "Today is an important step in our collective efforts to reduce road accidents and increase public safety across Dhaka.” 
As a pilot project, the TSEC will serve as an interactive and educational center, where students, members working in the DMP and others can learn about road safety in a dynamic and engaging way.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Dhaka Metropolitan Police Joint Police Commissioner (Training) Sultana Nazma Hossain, Joint Police Commissioner (Traffic-Admin, Planning and Research) Mohammad Enamul Haque, Deputy Police Commissioner (Planning, Research and Human Resource Development Division) Mohammad Masud Rana and senior police officers of the Traffic Division.
